The DB&A collects sensor data, user information and topology information on house level of the different customers sharing the various end-points of the EDN and enables their aggregation. Furthermore, the DB&A service is also in charge of collecting other measures useful to monitor the status of the EDN.
The storage of consumer-specific data in the DB&A Grid Service, although crucial for the other Grid Services to work and to bring substantial benefits to both customers and the Smart Grid, raises important privacy as well as data access issues. We provide customers with the most flexible level of privacy and security as possible, by employing suitable data access policies.
